This is a heartwarming second chance romance. I loved the characters and being a dog lover the animals were a very endearing part of this story.
Jackson has a problem, PTSD. The fact that he doesn’t want to admit to. It scares his young nephew, Matty more than his mother’s current coma condition.Enter Emma and her dogs.
Matty only wants to help his uncle but stealing one of Emma’s dogs isn’t the answer.

I don’t read contemporary titles much but I loved this one from the first chapter.I gave this book 4.75 of 5.0 stars for storyline, character development and plot.I received a complimentary ARC of this book to read via NetGalley.

This book is a well written imagining of what happened with the well known historical figure, Robert The Bruce. Despite the violence and treachery of the times anything written about this figure, whether fact or fiction has always fascinated me.
I was completely drawn in by this extraordinary tale of love and deceit. The plot is well drawn out and the characters are entrancing.This is a not to be missed book by Ms. Johnstone.Outlaw King can easily be read as a standalone historical romance.
I gave this book 4.75 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3.5 of 5.0 flames. There is a palpable heat between hero and heroine.

I love Julie’s books as a whole but could have done with less violence in this one. I am aware that these times were violent but I don’t care to read about so much of it when reading romance. That being said this is a well written title overall.
I gave this book 4.0 of 5.0 stars for storyline and character development.
