Pine Cove Island is the kind of enchanting place where anything is possible . . .
The Holloway women each have a special gift, passed down through generations, each one a little different. Juliette possesses a magical green thumb, which makes her job managing the local florist shop a dream. She may be a bit wild, but she knows what she wants: to save enough money to buy the shop from her boss. Then in marches Logan O’Connor, more annoyingly handsome than ever, turning all her plans upside down.

Logan hasn’t been back on Pine Cove Island since he was eighteen and broke Juliette’s teenage heart. Now it turns out he’s her boss’s nephew—and will be spending his days remodeling the shop and barking orders. At her.
For the sake of the business, Juliette will have to ignore their simmering attraction and work with Logan. But that doesn’t mean she has to make things easy for him. Because no one knows better than she that one tiny, perfectly planted bit of garden magic could uproot Logan’s own plans and keep him out of her way. And nothing would make her happier. At least that’s what she thinks . . .
Praise for Tara Sheets’ previous book, Don’t Call Me Cupcake

“I loved this book!  Beautifully written and the story has stayed with me.”
—Jude Deveraux

“Funny, sexy, charming and full of practical magic. . . . Fans of Sarah Addison Allen will love this novel.”

My Thoughts:

This second book in this series is like it’s predecessor, a can’t put down read that makes you want more!
I read mostly Historical romance and fiction but I do enjoy an occasional contemporary romance. I loved the debut novel  and I looked forward to reading book #2. “Don’t touch My Petunia” is an equal in every way to “Don’t Call Me Cupcake”.
Both books include a bit of magic and humor.
Can Juliette ignore her attraction to Logan and just get down to business?
If you are a fan of Romantic Comedy this is a must read for you.
I gave this book 4.5 (rounded to 5 stars) of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization. and a low sensual rating. This book contains no graphic intimacy so is suitable to be read by young adults and teens alike. Although the second book in this delightful series each one can be read and enjoyed as a standalone title.
I received a complimentary digital ARC of this book by invitation to read. This in no way affected my opinion of this title which I read and reviewed voluntarily.

This Series:

  1. Don’t Call Me Cupcake
  2. Don’t Touch My Petunia
  3. Don’t Give Me Butterflies (Coming in July 2019)

Publisher’s Description:

A modern woman thrust back into the brutal past. A medieval highlander who lost everything dear to him. Why has fate brought these two broken souls together?

Carol Harper didn’t want to travel through time. She only wanted to see if the ancient ring she found would fit on her finger. A single touch and she’s back in the Middle Ages, held against her will by an enormous highlander and his army.

Angus MacClean is raiding with his fellow warriors when a strange woman appears out of nowhere. His clan believe witchcraft brought her into their midst but Angus has no fear of sorcery. Only one thing frightens him, the way his beautiful captive makes him feel.

To successfully evade the wicked English lord who hunts them both, they must put aside their burning desire. Fail and they risk capture by the cruellest of villains, a man who wants Angus dead and Carol all to himself.

Highlander’s Voyage is a standalone time travel romance. If you like rugged Highland warriors, a mysterious medieval world, and a feisty modern heroine, you’re sure to love this scintillating story.

My Thoughts:

I really liked this well written debut novel by this author. Written in two of my favorite genres, Highlander’s Voyage is a must read from this new author.
Scottish, Highlander romance is a favorite of mine and throw in a time traveling modern day heroine for good measure and you have just the right mix to keep this reader’s attention. This is particularly true if the historical facts are close enough to being true to date.
I gave this book 4.5 of 5.0 stars for storyline and characterization and a sensual rating of 3.25 of 5.0 flames.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This in no way affected my opinion of this title which I read and reviewed. These thoughts are solely my own.

This Series:

  1. Highlander’s Voyage
  2. Highlander’s Revenge
  3. Highlander’s Battle

When Lyting Atlison encounters the autumn-fire beauty in shackles, he vows to free her. Discovering the fate his kinsmen intend for the maid, he undertakes a private mission in order to join the fleet that will bear her to distant lands.

Now only he can save her from family enemies returned from long past, seeking revenge . . .
